Dear SIA Community,
Happy New Year and welcome back to another exciting school year for SIA in 2025! We hope you had a restful and joyful holiday season with your loved ones. As we embark on this new year, we are filled with enthusiasm and anticipation for the wonderful experiences and opportunities that lie ahead.
Already we have been back for two weeks and we have an incredible start. Last week saw the PE department organising our annual Sports Days for learners throughout the school. The participation and encouragement was truly remarkable. The energy and spirit displayed by our learners, along with your enthusiastic cheers, made the three days a memorable success. Teamwork, sportsmanship, and fun, all embody our SIA characteristics. Please click here for the Sports Day pictures.
As we look ahead, we are excited about the many events and activities planned for this year. From International Day and a Career Fair, to art exhibitions, a much anticipated Fiesta and community service projects, there will be numerous opportunities for our learners to learn, grow, and showcase their talents. We encourage you to stay engaged and involved in these events, as your presence and support make a significant difference in the lives of our learners.
Following some positive feedback from our parents, we are delighted to invite all parents to our series of Specialist Curriculum Coffee events, where you will have the opportunity to gain valuable insights into various aspects of school life. These informal gatherings provide a wonderful platform for you to engage with our educators, learn about the curriculum, and discuss the exciting learning experiences planned for your children. Join us for a cup of coffee, stimulating conversations, and a deeper understanding of how we are nurturing and supporting your child’s educational journey. Attached to this newsletter is the planned schedule and links to sign up!

Another exciting first for us is the news that the weekend of 14th -16th February we will be hosting a three day Conference called the HPAIR Leadership Program . This unique and intensive three day program is to develop leadership skills and create future changemakers. Participants will work alongside Harvard Business School undergraduates to develop a range of skills and will earn a certification from the Harvard College Project for Asian and International Relations. More details can be found about this here.
Finally, a reminder to all parents and learners of the importance of wearing lanyards at all times while on school premises. This measure is crucial for safeguarding purposes, ensuring that everyone on campus is easily identifiable and that our school remains a safe environment for all. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.
Kind Regards
Have a wonderful weekend.
